On November 16, 2019, at the site of the Xinjiang Mining Federation of Shenzhen City, Urumqi, Zhang Zhimin, Secretary General of the Xinjiang Mining Federation, and Wang Zhouping, President of the Zhejiang Mining Federation, signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement.

 

 

       According to the agreement, the two sides will closely exchange experience and cooperation in the areas of industry public management, member collaboration and service, group standard formulation, industrial policy recommendations and implementation, and promotion of social group vitality and social responsibility; give full play to the advantages of the two places and the two associations, and based on the advantages Complementary, mutually beneficial, equal consultation, co-construction and sharing, cooperation and win-win principles, and collaboratively build a sharing platform for serving members and enterprises (industry) in the mining sector on Xinjiang and the “Belt and Road”.

 

 

       The agreement confirms that the two sides have decided to reach exchanges and cooperation in the following eight areas. The first is the organization and management of mining-related industries, exploring exchanges and cooperation in the management and operation of industry organizations. The second is to coordinate the relationship between the public and industry management departments, reflect the industry demands in a timely manner, exchange ideas, learn from each other, and learn from each other's beneficial experiences. The third is to exchange experiences on self-construction after decoupling from the government. The fourth is to make overall plans for Zhejiang merchants to invest in Xinjiang's mining industry, provide timely policies, regulations, industrial policies, investment or project information, project recommendation information, and organize professional institutions or experts to solve technical problems encountered by Zhejiang merchants in their operations. Fifth, give full play to the location advantages of the two conferences, and deepen cooperation and exchanges in the traditional and emerging areas. Sixth, carry out beneficial exchanges with the “Belt and Road” international cooperation on the mining industry going out, and include this content in the scope of regular meetings. The seventh is to strengthen the mediation and arbitration of disputes over mining-related commercial disputes, and to protect the legitimate rights and interests of members of the two associations and mining-related enterprises (industry) in Xinjiang. Eighth, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of professional talent training, vocational education, and job title evaluation, and provide industry support for businesses in Xinjiang and Zhejiang.

 

       The reporter learned that this is a new consensus reached in the new era and the new industry on the basis of the Memorandum of Establishment of Long-term Strategic Cooperation between the Zhejiang Mining Federation and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Mining Federation signed by the two associations in 2013. The previously effective areas of cooperation will continue to be effective in the future.
