In recent years, China’s economic and trade cooperation with the Arab League has achieved remarkable results. The scale of bilateral trade has steadily expanded, and China has remained the Arab League’s largest trading partner for many consecutive years. According to customs statistics, in the first seven months of this year, China-Arab trade reached 1.72 trillion yuan, hitting a new high for the same period in history and increasing by 3.2% year-on-year. In July alone, China’s imports and exports to and from the Arab League totaled 245.31 billion yuan, up 6.9%. Among these, exports amounted to 135.54 billion yuan, marking growth for 21 consecutive months; imports reached 109.77 billion yuan, staying above 100 billion yuan for nine consecutive months.

　　China and Arab countries enjoy strong economic complementarity, and their mutually beneficial trade structure provides sustained momentum for economic and trade cooperation. In the first seven months of this year, crude oil imports from the Arab League accounted for more than 40% of China’s total imports of similar products. Imports of natural gas, refined petroleum products, and metal ores from the Arab League all increased, providing a crucial guarantee for the stable supply of energy resources to China. During the same period, China’s exports of electromechanical products to the Arab League reached 557.66 billion yuan, an increase of 22%, accounting for nearly 60% of China’s total exports to the Arab League. Among these, exports of machine tools, ships, and construction machinery rose by 50.1%, 49.7%, and 42.1% respectively, thereby boosting the development of related industries in the Arab League.

　　China continues to deepen its cooperation with the Arab League in the agricultural sector, supporting the development of modern agriculture in Arab League countries and expanding imports of specialty agricultural products from these nations. In the first seven months, my exports of agricultural machinery and crop seeds to the Arab League increased by 10.5% and 10.4%, respectively. Meanwhile, the volume of imports of edible aquatic products from Oman reached a new historical high for the same period. Imports of frozen strawberries from Egypt, chocolate from Lebanon, and wool from Algeria rose by 54.7%, 38.2%, and 12.8%, respectively.
