In July 2025, coal prices in Inner Mongolia continued to rebound.

According to energy price monitoring data reported by various leagues and cities, in July 2025, the ex-factory prices of thermal coal, coke, and LNG (liquefied natural gas, the same below) in Inner Mongolia saw slight increases, while the retail price of LNG declined slightly. The retail price of CNG (compressed natural gas, the same below) remained stable, and refined oil prices underwent two adjustments—one increase and one decrease. I. Coal In July, the monthly average pit-mouth price of thermal coal in Inner Mongolia was 317.69 yuan per ton, up 2.30% from June (hereinafter referred to as month-on-month) and down 11.71% from July 2024 (hereinafter referred to as year-on-year). Among these, the average pit-mouth price of lignite in the eastern region was 328.57 yuan per ton, remaining unchanged month-on-month but rising slightly by 0.09% year-on-year; the average pit-mouth price of thermal coal in the Ordos region was 344.50 yuan per ton, up 7.24% month-on-month but down 26.55% year-on-year.
II. Coke In July, the monthly average price of coke in Inner Mongolia was 1,122.80 yuan per ton, up slightly by 0.44% month-on-month but down 31.10% year-on-year.
3. Natural Gas: In July, the average ex-factory price and the average retail price of domestically produced LNG in Inner Mongolia were RMB 4,464.00 per ton and RMB 4,820.91 per ton, respectively. Compared with the previous month, the ex-factory price of LNG rose slightly by 0.35%, while the retail price of LNG declined slightly by 0.20%. Compared with the same period last year, the ex-factory price and the retail price of LNG fell by 5.58% and 3.56%, respectively.
In July, the average retail price of CNG was 4.04 yuan per cubic meter, remaining unchanged from the previous month and increasing slightly by 0.70% year-on-year.
IV. Finished Oil Products: On July 1, the wholesale prices of No. 92 gasoline, No. 95 gasoline, No. 0 diesel, and No. -35 diesel were raised to RMB 9,381 per ton, RMB 9,912 per ton, RMB 7,835 per ton, and RMB 9,010 per ton, respectively, representing increases of 2.73% and 2.96% from the prices before the adjustment. Compared with the same period last year, the prices of gasoline and diesel fell by 8.43% and 9.11%, respectively. On July 15, the wholesale prices of No. 92 gasoline, No. 95 gasoline, No. 0 diesel, and No. -35 diesel were lowered to RMB 9,243 per ton, RMB 9,766 per ton, RMB 7,710 per ton, and RMB 8,867 per ton, respectively, marking decreases of 1.47% and 1.60% from the prices before the adjustment. Compared with the same period last year, the prices of gasoline and diesel fell by 10.80% and 11.63%, respectively.
