Notice of the 4th China Jade Carving Works “Yu Hua Award” Selection Event

The “Yu Hua Award” competition for Chinese jade carving has been successfully held for three sessions, achieving remarkable results. To further promote the development of the jade-carving industry, this year’s competition will feature online promotion and publicity for both the submitted works and their creators. For the first time, the competition will adopt a hybrid online-and-offline judging approach and introduce a new “Most Popular on the Internet Award.” We encourage all jade-carving professionals to prepare carefully and actively participate.
This year’s “Yu Hua Award” selection event is jointly organized by the Nanyang Municipal People’s Government and the China Jewelry & Jade Ornament Industry Association. The relevant details are hereby announced as follows:
I. Selection Process:
1. From February 1 to April 5, we will be accepting submissions and application materials from across the country.
2. From April 6 to 14, organize application materials and conduct the initial review of submissions.
3. On April 15, send notification letters to those who have been shortlisted for the preliminary review.
4. On April 26, submit the shortlisted entries and the final judging results;
5. April 28 – May 3: Award ceremony and exhibition of submitted entries;
6. Publish the “Yuhua Award” Winning Works Collection at the end of the year.
II. Requirements for Submissions:
1. Completed works created in recent years;
2. The materials of the entries may include all known types of jade; there are no restrictions on subject matter.
3. The ownership of the submitted works is undisputed, and there are no disputes regarding the authorship attribution of the works.
4. The content of the submitted works must comply with relevant national laws and regulations and should promote positive and healthy themes.
5. It features unique characteristics in terms of material, volume, creativity, and craftsmanship, reflecting the current level of development in contemporary jade and stone carving art.
6. I agree that the organizer may exhibit, photograph, publish, and promote the work, and I grant the organizer copyright ownership.
III. Required Application Documents:
1. One copy of the “4th Yuhua Award” Entry Form;
2. One written description of the artwork, including the title, thematic meaning, and technical features, with a minimum of 100 words. ; (The written description is a mandatory submission document)
3. At least one clear and complete electronic image of each work, with a resolution of 2M or higher;
4. Place the three application documents mentioned above into a folder named “Applicant’s Name + Yuhua Award,” then send the folder to the application email address. Please indicate “Applicant’s Name + Yuhua Award” in the email subject line. The artwork photos must be submitted as separate image files. Do not insert images into the application form or other types of documents. (See the figure below.)

No fees will be charged during this selection process. After the books are published, each submitter will receive one copy of the collection of their work.
