Gold is highly prized by humanity for its rarity, exceptional corrosion resistance, ease of preservation, and superb ductility, making it the metal with the strongest financial attributes and the closest link to economic development.
1. Gold has relatively limited uses.
Gold is primarily used in jewelry, industry, reserves, and investment. Among these, jewelry is the largest application, accounting for approximately... 50% ; Second is investment, primarily referring to gold coins and gold bars, whose usage accounts for approximately 30% ; once again for industrial and national reserves, accounting for approximately 10% (Figure 1 Jewelry, gold coins and bars, and national reserves all reflect gold’s financial attributes; thus, gold’s primary use lies in its ability to preserve value. As the global economy continues to develop, gold’s role in financial stability is becoming increasingly important. Consequently, the volume of gold held in national reserves has been steadily rising, which in turn has driven growth in both jewelry demand and investment.

II. Gold is a hot spot for exploration.
Due to gold’s financial attributes, it has consistently been a hotspot mineral species in solid-mineral exploration. According to... SNL Statistics, since 1998 Since the year, global investment in gold exploration has been 654.16 hundreds of millions of dollars—the most popular mineral type for exploration investment, accounting for roughly a consistent share of global non-fuel solid mineral exploration spending. 40% Above, 1998 The figure even approaches 60% (see diagram). 2 ).

Although global investments in gold exploration have been substantial, gold reserves have been growing slowly due to relatively high extraction volumes. Gold reserves are... 1990 of the year 4.24 Increased from ten thousand tons to fluctuations 2015 of the year 5.6 Ten thousand tons, with an average annual growth. 1.1% 。21 A century ago 15 It grew by only a year. 8000 Ton.

3. The development of the gold industry is closely linked to the economy.
Since humans first discovered gold, approximately — has been produced up to the beginning of this century. 18 Ten thousand tons of mineral gold. 19 Produced a century ago 1 Ten thousand tons, 19 The century produced 1.15 Ten thousand tons, 20 The century produced 11.12 Ten thousand tons, 21 The century has produced so far... 4.21 Ten thousand tons (table) 2 ).

Global production of mined gold is closely linked to economic development. The growth rate of global mined gold production is correlated with the global... GDP The trends in growth rates are broadly consistent, and at the same time, the change in the global mineral gold production growth rate preceded that of the global [overall] trend. GDP The change in growth rate means that the global growth rate of mineral gold production is global. GDP Leading Index of Growth Rate Changes (Chart) 3 ), thereby using the rate of change in mineral gold production as an important reference indicator for forecasting global economic trends.

Since 1900 Since the year, the patterns of global mineral gold production have become evident. First, it has gone through three complete cycles (Table...). 3 ), each cycle lasts approximately 30 The year is closely linked to a major global event (pictured). 4 ).
The first cycle ( 1910–1940 ), associated with which is World War I;
The second cycle ( 1941-1970 The global event associated with it is World War II.
The third cycle ( 1971-2000 ) The global event associated with this is the global economic crisis, in which... 20 Century 90 The Southeast Asian economic crisis that occurred in the 1990s was a localized event with relatively minor impacts on gold production, making it a sub-cycle within the current cycle.
The fourth cycle ( 2001-2030 The global event associated with this is the global financial crisis. According to the patterns observed in the first three cycles, the fourth cycle is expected to begin in... 2030 Around the turn of the year, ending soon, future 15 There will be virtually no major events globally this year that could significantly impact global economic development, and the global economy is set to experience relatively stable growth. 15 year, and 2030 There is a possibility that major events affecting global economic development could occur after the Chinese New Year.

4. The gold industry boasts high profitability.
The gold industry has a high input-output ratio. 1998 Since the year, the input-output ratio in the gold industry has consistently been... 10 Above, 2002 Year and 2015 Even as high as per year 30 Above (Figure 5 ), the high input-output ratio in the gold industry has attracted substantial exploration capital. 2000 Since the year, the average input-output ratio in the gold industry has been 23.8 (Table 4 ).

In short, the global gold industry is in a growth phase. The focus of consumption is shifting toward Asia, led by China and India, while both production and demand continue to grow steadily, ensuring that the industry remains highly attractive. As international currencies such as the U.S. dollar, the euro, and the British pound continue to depreciate, gold’s role as a store of value will become increasingly important, driving sustained growth in demand for gold.
