In the first half of the year, major global coal-producing and consuming countries as a whole showed a downward trend in coal production and consumption. Among producing and exporting countries, the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Ukraine, and South Africa saw declines in output, while only Russia and Mongolia experienced increases in both production and exports. As for consuming and importing countries, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand all reported varying degrees of decline in imports, whereas Vietnam’s import volume surged significantly.
