According to the latest data released by the China Gold Association, in the first three quarters of 2023, China’s gold production reached 271.248 tons, an increase of 0.47% year-on-year; gold consumption totaled 835.07 tons, up 7.32% over the same period last year. In the third quarter, gold prices remained persistently high, and demand for gold bars and gold coins continued to grow rapidly.
　　Data released by the China Gold Association on October 25 showed that, as the world’s largest gold consumer market, China’s gold jewelry consumption in the first three quarters of this year reached 552.04 tons, an increase of 5.72% year-on-year; gold bar and gold coin consumption totaled 222.37 tons, up 15.98% year-on-year; and industrial and other gold uses amounted to 60.66 tons, down 5.53% year-on-year.
　　Data show that in the first three quarters, the national economy continued to recover and improve, market demand kept expanding, and nationwide gold consumption showed a rapid recovery trend.
　　Data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that retail sales of gold, silver, and jewelry continue to lead other product categories in terms of growth rate. In the third quarter, gold prices remained persistently high, and consumption of gold bars and gold coins continued to grow relatively rapidly.
　　According to the latest statistics from the China Gold Association, in the first three quarters of 2023, domestic raw gold production reached 271.248 tons, an increase of 1.261 tons compared to the same period in 2022, representing a year-on-year growth of 0.47%.
　　Data show that in the first three quarters, the output of gold mined from domestic mines by China's large-scale gold enterprises (groups) totaled 107.058 tons, accounting for 49.83% of the nation's total output.
