According to a report on July 11, Hunan Province has been approved to establish the nation’s first National Technology Innovation Center in the field of mineral resources. The center is being organized and constructed by the Hunan Provincial Government, led by China Minmetals Corporation, and will be based at Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. It is being jointly built with the participation of Hunan Nonferrous Metals Industry Investment Group, Jiangxi Tungsten Industry Group Co., Ltd., Central South University, Hunan University, and other relevant institutions.
　　This center is the first national technology innovation center approved for establishment in China’s mineral resources sector. Its founding aims to promote technological advancement and innovation in the field of efficient development of rare metal minerals, with the goal of enhancing the technical level and innovative capacity in related fields.
