According to a report by Cai Lian She on August 8, Saudi Arabia has launched a competitive bidding process for seven new mining exploration licenses, covering a total area of approximately 1,000 square kilometers, with the aim of attracting both local and international investors to conduct exploration activities.
　　The exploration sites covered by this license are located across various regions and are rich in valuable minerals. The Umm Qasr site in Riyadh covers an area of over 20 square kilometers and is renowned for its deposits of gold, silver, lead, and zinc. Jebel Sabha, with an area of 171 square kilometers, contains deposits of silver, lead, zinc, and cobalt. The Shuaib Marqan region, covering an area of more than 92 square kilometers, is rich in copper, silver, and gold. The Wadi Doush area in Asir, spanning over 157 square kilometers, hosts deposits of gold, silver, and copper. The Wadi Al-Jouna region is the largest among these sites, covering an area of 425 square kilometers and containing copper, zinc, silver, and gold. The Hazm Shubat region, with an area exceeding 93 square kilometers, is particularly famous for its gold deposits. Finally, the Huwaimdhan region in Mecca, covering an area of over 34 square kilometers, also contains gold deposits.
