Axel Rare Earths has encountered the highest-grade ore body to date at its Caladao rare-earth project in Brazil.
The highest ore grade encountered was 2.83% TREO, with a magnetite rare-earth oxide (MREO) grade of 0.76%.
The specific mineralization findings are as follows: ◎ At a depth of 1 meter, mineralization extends over 14 meters, with a TREO grade of 0.0994%, including a 1-meter-thick ore body with a grade of 2.83%; ◎ At a depth of 37 meters, mineralization spans 9 meters, with a grade of 0.3432%, of which the MREO grade is 26%.
As of now, the area of the drilling operations completed by the company accounts for less than 10% of the total area. Within the 30-square-kilometer region, drilling has consistently revealed widespread rare-earth mineralization; all rotary drill cores at the 15-meter final depth have failed to penetrate the ore body.
