On April 2, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Construction issued a statement saying that Kazakh geologists had discovered a large deposit of rare-earth metals at a depth of 300 meters underground in the Karaganda region, with reserves reaching 1 million tons. The estimated total resource volume is expected to exceed 20 million tons.
