At its latest annual general meeting, French fragrance manufacturer Interparfums Group announced plans to raise product prices in the U.S. market by 6% to 7% starting August 1, 2025, in response to the new U.S. policy imposing a 10% tariff on French imports.
Under the Interparfums Group, we are licensed to manufacture, distribute, and manage fragrance and perfume lines for numerous fashion brands, including Coach, Jimmy Choo, Montblanc, Lacoste, and others.
Hermès announced on April 17, local time, that it would raise sales prices across all product lines in the U.S. market starting May 1. The price increase for luxury goods in the U.S. is intended to offset the impact of the new tariff policies.
According to data from Bernstein Research, from 2020 to 2023, the price increases for brands such as Dior, Chanel, Prada, LV, Gucci, Hermès, and Burberry ranged from 18% to 66%.
The U.S. is Interparfums Group’s largest market. At the conference, Philippe Benacin, CEO of the group, stated: “We haven’t yet conducted a comprehensive calculation, as these measures were finalized only 48 to 72 hours ago, but I’m confident that we’ll incur additional expenses of between 5 million and 6 million euros this year as a result.”
