On January 13, 2017, the International Valuation Standards Council officially released the “International Valuation Standards (2017 Edition)” (hereinafter referred to as the “New Standards”). The release of the New Standards further enhances consistency and transparency in the valuation profession and serves as an important guide for international valuation professionals in conducting valuation work and making professional judgments. Asset valuation services are a core component of the financial system and play a crucial role in strengthening the entire financial system, ensuring the healthy functioning of capital markets, and safeguarding the public interest.

Given the excellent cooperation between the China Association of Asset Appraisers and the International Valuation Standards Council, the China Association of Asset Appraisers can provide members with the electronic version of the new edition of the Guidelines free of charge. Those interested may download the attachment to this article. The printed version of the new Guidelines is currently available for sale at the International Valuation Standards Council’s online bookstore. At present, the China Association of Asset Appraisers is in discussions with the International Valuation Standards Council regarding matters related to translation copyrights.
