A new era, new thinking, and a new journey. In 2017, the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held, marking China’s ascent to a new historical starting point.
The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has formulated a comprehensive, strategic, and forward-looking action plan for the entire Party and the whole country, and has also charted a new course of development for the gold industry.
This year, the 19th National Congress raised the banner, pointed the way forward, clarified strategic guidelines, and drew up a grand blueprint: “We are closer than at any other time in history to achieving the goal of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation—and we have greater confidence and capability than ever before.”
This year, China’s gold industry has achieved a qualitative leap. Large-scale gold enterprise groups have risen rapidly, actively participating in the Belt and Road international cooperation, deepening supply-side structural reforms, and accelerating state-owned enterprise reform. The gold market has become increasingly mature, transitioning from a follower to a leader in the global gold market.
2018 marked the inaugural year for implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, and a pivotal year for securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and for seamlessly connecting the past with the future as we carry out the 13th Five-Year Plan. In the new year, China’s gold industry will embark on a new journey, forging ahead with renewed determination to jointly build the dream of becoming a powerful gold nation.
