Recently, the standardization research team of the National Geological Experimental Testing Center, building on the research findings from the project “Standardization Construction and Development/Update of Geological Survey Standards” under the Geological Survey Program—specifically, the comprehensive study on reference materials and methods for geological and mineral experimental testing—has... 2015 At the annual training workshop on geological analysis technical standards, training was conducted on the application of the “Geological Analysis Standard Method Information Management System” and the “Geological Analysis Standard Material Information Management System,” receiving unanimous acclaim.
Deputy Director Bai Ye from the Office of Chief Engineer at the China Geological Survey delivered a special report on “Key Points in Drafting Geological and Mineral Standards.” The lectures given by Researcher Wang Yaping, Researcher Wang Suming, Associate Researcher Xu Chunxue, Assistant Researcher An Ziyi, and Researcher Sun Dezhong from the National Center for Geological Experiment and Testing covered the following topics: “Technical Specifications for Research on Geological Analytical Standard Substances,” “Technical Specifications for Research on Geological Analytical Standard Methods,” “Information Management System for Geological Analytical Standard Substances,” “Information Management System for Geological Analytical Standard Methods,” and “Standard Methods for Analyzing Ecological Geochemical Plant and Animal Samples.”
The “Geological Analysis Standard Method Information Management System” and the “Geological Analysis Standard Reference Material Information Management System” are supporting software applications designed to accompany the two forthcoming industry standards: the “Technical Specifications for Research on Geological Analysis Standard Methods” and the “Technical Specifications for Research on Geological Analysis Standard Reference Materials.” The evaluation of technical parameters for standard methods and standard reference materials is a globally mandated requirement. The key technical parameters stipulated in the standards for quantitative analysis methods serve as crucial quality indicators that characterize the performance level of these standard methods. However, due to the complexity involved in designing experimental procedures and conducting statistical data analyses for evaluating these parameters—and the substantial workload associated with such tasks—these parameters have long remained underutilized and lacked uniformity within China. The development and implementation of the “Geological Analysis Standard Method Information Management System” have greatly promoted the application of international standards in determining the critical technical parameters of standard analytical methods. These two software systems significantly enhance work efficiency and improve the accuracy of data processing, thereby facilitating the practical implementation of the “Technical Specifications for Research on Geological Analysis Standard Methods” and the “Technical Specifications for Research on Geological Analysis Standard Reference Materials.” The aforementioned two foundational standards play an important role in standardizing and unifying the technical requirements for the development of geological analysis standard methods and standard reference materials in China, enhancing and promoting the country’s capabilities and levels in this field, and aligning them more closely with international standards. Currently, these two achievements have already been... 10 Home laboratory promotion and application, plus... 15 For home laboratory reservations, the project team will schedule training sessions, application guidance, and service activation in batches.
