On September 8, according to Zhongtung Online, pricing announcements from Jiangxi industry associations and major tungsten enterprises have been released one after another. These significant price increases have injected much-needed confidence into the volatile market sentiment, driving tungsten prices higher still. Prices for tungsten concentrate, tungsten powder, and tungsten carbide powder have all doubled this year.

　　Among these, the prices of 65% black tungsten concentrate and 65% white tungsten concentrate were reported at RMB 286,000 per metric ton and RMB 285,000 per metric ton, respectively, representing year-to-date increases of 100% and 100.7%, respectively. The price of tungsten powder was reported at RMB 640 per kilogram, up 102.5% from the beginning of the year; the price of tungsten carbide powder was reported at RMB 625 per kilogram, up 101.0% from the beginning of the year.

　　Currently, sellers’ intention to cash out by selling goods has indeed increased somewhat, though there’s still no sign of significant price reductions. Meanwhile, buyers remain reluctant to proactively take on high-priced raw materials, and the market continues to operate cautiously, with transactions conducted on a deal-by-deal basis according to individual needs. Overall, the trading atmosphere remains subdued.
