BHP has officially signed a framework cooperation agreement with XCMG, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of mining equipment, to provide the group with comprehensive mining fleet solutions for its global mine operations.
This agreement fully demonstrates BHP’s ongoing commitment to enhancing supply-chain resilience, advancing operational technology upgrades, and continuously deepening collaboration with strategic partners in key manufacturing sectors. By partnering with globally competitive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), BHP is further diversifying its supplier base and better meeting the Group’s evolving needs in areas such as mining fleets, automation, and decarbonization.
Under this framework agreement, BHP will engage in close collaboration with XCMG Group on the planning and deployment of mining equipment, adhering to BHP’s technical, safety, and sustainability standards. The scope of cooperation between the two parties will cover areas such as joint R&D, localized support services, and validation of new technology maturity.
