I. New Retail—Building an Industry-Enabling Platform
1. Zhongbao Cloud Platform—Gathering Industry Strengths
In the new era, leveraging existing trends to reduce inventory and adopt a light-asset model has become a prevailing trend. The China Jewelry & Gemstone Association Cloud Platform—a full-industry-chain platform for the jewelry sector—will also make its debut at this jewelry expo, where we’ll provide a detailed explanation of the platform’s structural components and the architecture of its core control system. In addition, the China Jewelry & Gemstone Association Cloud Platform will host activities such as a mascot design contest and the signing of strategic partnership agreements. We’ll be at Booths 1O01–1O12 and 1P01–1P06, ready to engage in exchanges with colleagues from the jewelry industry.

2. JD Auction goes offline, offering an interactive experience in the new retail of jewelry.
As an online auction platform, JD Auction is showcasing a wide array of high-quality merchants at the jewelry exhibition. The exhibited pieces include hotan jade, jadeite, amber, southern red agate, crystal, and colored gemstones—all sourced directly from their places of origin and carefully selected for their exceptional value and quality. In addition, this year, JD Auction is also participating in the exhibition for the first time, featuring luxury items such as watches and designer handbags. You’ll find brands from every category, all offered at attractive prices. Through a hybrid auction format—combining both offline and online channels—we’re confident that this event will bring you a brand-new shopping experience.

3. Jewelry Online Live Streaming Pavilion: Exploring New Directions for Industry Sales
Under the impact of the internet boom, traditional sales models are quietly undergoing a transformation. Particularly over the past two years, online livestreaming has rapidly developed in the jewelry industry and has become an increasingly important marketing approach. Specialty jewelry and jade jewelry industrial bases in China—such as Sihui, Zhenping, and Donghai—are continuously innovating and boldly experimenting, placing them at the forefront of jewelry livestreaming. These regions have already established a certain scale and formed a sizable community of professionals in this field. Online livestreaming has injected new vitality into the development of the jewelry industry and provided fresh directions for jewelry marketing. At this year’s Shanghai Fair, a “Jewelry Livestreaming Exhibition Group” comprising more than 30 merchants from specialty jewelry and jade jewelry industrial bases—including Sihui, Zhenping, and Donghai Crystal—will gather at Booths 1B23-50 and 1C39-50. On this occasion, a “2018 China Jewelry Industry Online Livestreaming Seminar” will also be held, featuring rich and engaging content covering topics such as discussions on industry norms and standards, insights into consumer behavior, sharing of successful case studies, and in-depth analysis of challenges and risks.

4. “New Retail, New Marketing, New Talent” Sharing Session
In recent years, the mobile internet has experienced a period of rapid growth. However, the golden age of traffic-driven growth has passed, and mobile e-commerce and offline retail have now reached a “competitive equilibrium.” Certain product categories—such as apparel and 3C gadgets—have become areas of absolute dominance for e-commerce. On the other hand, highly complex, non-standardized categories like fresh-food e-commerce and jewelry have seen almost no success stories after losing substantial funding, thus debunking the notion that “e-commerce is the only path to success.” Meanwhile, offline retail, leveraging its strengths precisely where e-commerce remains vulnerable, is staging a powerful comeback with a resilience akin to that of weeds. A growing number of high-quality retail enterprises are now exploring new strategies and proactively addressing the challenges posed by e-commerce.
In summary, as e-commerce continues to mature, traditional retail is far from giving up—resulting in a complex landscape of intense online-offline competition, with each side achieving varying degrees of success. Against this backdrop, how can jewelry companies leverage new retail and new marketing strategies to break through their current impasse?
II. A New Era—Bringing Together Renowned Jewelry Brands from Home and Abroad, and Gathering Global Suppliers from Original Production Regions
1. A Gathering of Brands
Brands such as Laofengxiang, Lao Miao Gold, Ya Yi Jewelry Store, and Zhang Tiejun Jade have taken center stage, fully showcasing the strong capabilities of Shanghai’s jewelry enterprises. Meanwhile, Angel’s Tears, Yamahoko Pearls, Jiali Pearls, Baoyi Jewelry, Hangmin Baitai, Xingguangda, Tianyuan Jewelry, Zhuangjia Jade, Ruilin, Jinhong Jewelry, and Youyou Jewelry have all made stunning appearances. This exhibition will be the perfect platform for gaining insights into jewelry industry trends, exploring franchise opportunities, placing wholesale orders, and making investment-oriented collections.

2. Mineral gems crafted with divine artistry; the amber exhibit encapsulates millennia of time.
The International Mineral Crystal Exhibition features a diverse array of mineral specimens, including natural gold, raw jadeite, aquamarine, emerald, scheelite, stibnite, and azurite, among many others. These extraordinary and brilliantly colored mineral fossils bear witness to the dramatic transformations of nature over time and will take visitors on a colorful and magical journey into the heart of the natural world.
The "China Amber Association Amber Pavilion Exhibition Group" brings together world-class amber wholesalers and processing enterprises, offering you centralized access to first-hand supplies and brand-name services. The product range—including pendants, bead strings, hand-held ornaments, and decorative pieces—is rich and diverse, dazzling in its variety, and guaranteed for authenticity and quality.

3. The National Jade Distribution Center Exhibition Group Gathers at the Shanghai Expo
For this exhibition, the organizers have invited several major jade distribution centers—Pingzhou, Jieyang, Sihui, Ruili, and the Guangzhou Hualin Jade Exhibition Group—to present a collective display of 70 booths. Each of the four exhibition groups boasts its own distinctive characteristics. Pingzhou has long been renowned for its raw jade materials, bracelets at various price points, and exquisitely colored jade carvings. Jieyang is China’s hub for mid-to-high-end jade raw materials, processing, and wholesale distribution. Sihui is the center for jade ornaments and pendants. Ruili, located near the border with Myanmar, serves as an important distribution center in Yunnan for raw jade materials, mid-to-high-end jade products, and exquisitely colored jade carvings. The Guangzhou Hualin Jade Exhibition Group brings together suppliers from all wholesale origins.

4. Colorful gemstones and dazzling diamonds—luxurious lineup aligned with international standards.
Organized by the Shanghai Diamond Exchange, the “Diamond Pavilion” brings together diamond wholesalers from around the world—such as Yihua Diamonds and Jia Zhuang Jewelry—members of the exchange itself, providing both industry insiders and outsiders with an ideal platform for purchasing diamonds.
In recent years, colored gemstones have shown strong performance in the jewelry market, and the investment value of high-quality, large-sized rare gemstones has gradually become evident. This year’s exhibition features a stellar lineup, including the Thai delegation—renowned worldwide for its colored gemstones—as well as the Shuibei Colored Gemstone Exhibition Group and well-known companies such as GEMS TRADING, Yongtai Hua, and Zhengde Dongqi. This luxurious ensemble will take you on a journey to experience the dazzling beauty and diversity of colored gemstones.

5. The Australian Pavilion—vibrant and dazzling, brimming with colorful brilliance.
As Australia’s national treasure, opals are highly prized worldwide for their mesmerizing play of colors, and the market enthusiasm they’ve sparked globally continues to soar. The Australian Opal Pavilion, which has been invited to participate in this exhibition, is composed of several heavyweight companies that have been professionally engaged in the opal business for decades, including Manu Opal, Lichai Wang Jewelry, Sam Calber, Shenzhen Tianyuan Jewelry, Aolai, Tifan Meino, Meiqi Si Opal, Lightning Ridge Opal, Shanghai Qinbo, Emil Weis, Rainbow Story, Jubao Feng, and Opal Pacific. Most of the exhibitors come directly from Australia itself, sourcing raw opal stones firsthand from mining regions across the country.
6. Hong Kong and Taiwan each boast their own unique charm, and their design craftsmanship is highly acclaimed.
This time, the “Taiwan Pavilion,” composed of numerous Taiwanese enterprises, is once again making its debut in Shanghai. Covering a total of 110 booths and featuring 105 exhibitors, it will showcase Taiwan’s world-renowned jade and coral jewelry—crafted with exquisite designs—to offer you an excellent opportunity to select the perfect gift as Mother’s Day approaches.
Hong Kong jewelry has long been renowned for its unique designs and outstanding styles, and this time, it has organized a delegation comprising 20 booths. Hong Kong jewelry designers are adept at being flexible and adaptable, committed to meeting customer needs, and continuously innovating.

5. Excellent Service—On-site Navigation, Safety Assurance, and Monitoring Support
To enhance the quality of exhibition services and elevate the brand image of the show, this year’s event will introduce a mobile internet-based guided tour system. This system enables one-click QR code scanning for entry, smart navigation, rapid search for brands and product categories, detailed access to exhibitor information, and quick queries about nearby dining, accommodation, and other supporting services. At the same time, the system will also offer an online virtual jewelry exhibition for visitors who cannot attend the event in person, seamlessly integrating modern technology with the traditional jewelry industry. This will provide exhibitors with additional display options and a larger promotional platform, while offering visitors more convenient guided tours and a more comprehensive way to learn about the exhibits.

Every area of the exhibition hall is equipped with surveillance cameras, and security personnel are strategically stationed and patrol the premises, effectively combining human and technological security measures to ensure that no corner of the hall is left unattended and to guarantee the safety of the exhibits.
