Avrupa Minerals, the Canadian partner of SANDFIRE Resources, announced that drilling at its Alvalade project in the Iberian Pyrite Belt in Portugal has revealed high-grade mineralization.
　　The Sesmarias diamond drill hole encountered mineralization over a 43.4-meter interval at a depth of 392.80 meters, with grades of 1.51% copper, 4.78% zinc, 2.15% lead, and 64.1 grams per tonne of silver. Specifically, at a depth of 393.8 meters, mineralization was found over a 26.95-meter interval, with grades of 2.18% copper, 5.6% zinc, 2.58% lead, and 88.2 grams per tonne of silver.
　　The 2014 discovery revealed mineralization at a depth of 150 meters, with a thickness of 7.95 meters, containing copper at a grade of 2.21%, lead at 3.05%, zinc at 4.82%, and silver at 89.8 grams per tonne.
　　The true thickness and orientation of the orebody remain unclear, but the length of the target ore-controlling stratum exceeds 1 kilometer.
　　The company is implementing a drilling program consisting of a total of six holes, with an extension hole located more than 150 kilometers southwest.
