In recent years, in accordance with the national arrangements for ensuring energy supply, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has actively promoted the preliminary procedures for newly planned coal mine projects under the 14th Five-Year Plan, accelerating project approval, commencement, and construction to continuously enhance its capacity to guarantee coal supply. Recently, thanks to the active efforts of the Autonomous Region’s Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Administration approved the 1.2-million-ton-per-year coking coal mine project at Erdaogou in the Aiwiergou mining area of our region.

　　The coal mine will be constructed according to advanced coal production capacity standards, featuring a large-scale, modern mine and a配套 coal preparation plant. The project’s construction is of great significance for enhancing the autonomous region’s capacity to ensure the supply of coking coal, promoting the conversion of superior resources, and driving local economic and social development.

　　Next, the Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission will remain goal-oriented, strengthen coordination, proactively provide services, and guide and urge project entities to promptly handle relevant procedures such as resource extraction permits, land-use approvals, and safety production certifications. The commission will strive to ensure that projects commence construction and enter operation as soon as possible, fully realizing their economic and social benefits.
