Patriot Battery Metals announced that its Shaakichiuwaanaan lithium project in Canada has identified a cesium-enriched zone, making it possible for cesium to become a future byproduct of lithium mining.

Cesium is a special metal that has been designated as a critical and strategic metal by Canada, Japan, and the United States.

Almost all cesium is recovered from pollucite minerals (primary cesium), and its main application is as cesium formate brine.

Due to its high density, low toxicity, biodegradability, and recyclability, cesium can be used in oil and gas drilling under high-pressure, high-temperature conditions.

Cesium can also be used in atomic clocks, GPS, aircraft navigation, and communications.

Several years ago, near Northam in Western Australia, there was a small mine that was being developed and produced by Pioneer Resources.

Dreadnought Resources Ltd has set exploration targets in the Stinger prospect within the Mangaroon project in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia.

The company stated that the exploration target for the Stinger niobium deposit is ore reserves ranging from 15 million to 60 million tons.
