Recently, several geological institutes in Zhejiang Province have been officially established, including the Ningbo Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province, the Shaoxing Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province, and the Huzhou Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province.

On April 3, the Ningbo Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province was officially inaugurated. It is reported that the Zhejiang Provincial Hydrogeological and Engineering Geological Brigade has added the signboard “Ningbo Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province.” This move reflects the Zhejiang Provincial Geological Institute’s alignment with the requirements for high-quality development of the province’s geological sector in the new era, closely focusing on its core responsibilities and main tasks in geological work, and represents an important step toward accelerating the construction of a “first-class geological institute” through systematic integration.

On May 7, the unveiling ceremony for the Shaoxing Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province was held. The Zhejiang Nonferrous Metals Institute has added a sign reading “Shaoxing Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province,” aiming to comprehensively enhance its capacity to support Shaoxing’s natural resource management, land and spatial governance, development of public welfare initiatives, and service to the economy and society. This move also seeks to establish a more robust geological work system characterized by “division of labor and cooperation, coordinated efforts between upper and lower levels, and comprehensive support.”

On May 12, the Huzhou Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province was officially established. The No. 262 Team of Zhejiang Province has added a sign reading “Huzhou Geological Institute of Zhejiang Province.”
