2016 Year 2 Moon 25 On the morning of [date], the General Engineering Office of the Geological Survey Bureau, together with the Development Center of the Geological Survey Bureau, convened a seminar to advance the preparation of a development plan for geological big data. The meeting was chaired by Yan Guangsheng, Director of the General Engineering Office and Director of the Development Center of the Geological Survey Bureau. Attending the meeting were Li Jihong, Deputy Director of the General Engineering Office; Cai Gang and Qi Yabin, Deputy Directors of the Development Center of the Geological Survey Bureau; as well as heads of departments and offices within the Data and Informationization Division of the Development Center of the Geological Survey Bureau and representatives from the two drafting teams. Tan Yongjie, Chief Engineer of the Development Center of the Geological Survey Bureau and Chief Expert in Geological Big Data and Information Services Engineering, provided a brief overview of the preparation status. Li Chaoling, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Development Center of the Geological Survey Bureau, and Wen Min from the Network Operations Office of the Informationization Department respectively presented reports on the overall technical plan for the construction of the Geological Cloud (Geological Big Data) and the overall implementation plan for promoting the development of geological big data.
After listening to the briefing and reviewing the submitted materials, the participating leaders and experts engaged in an in-depth discussion on various aspects of the plan, including its overall structure, textual expression, completeness and accuracy of content, technical issues, and key implementation points, and offered constructive suggestions. All participants agreed that the preparation of the “Overall Technical Plan for the Construction of the Geological Cloud (Geological Big Data)” and the “Overall Implementation Plan for Promoting the Development of Geological Big Data” had been carried out thoroughly. There was broad consensus on the overall framework and guiding principles. The representatives attending the meeting believed that the construction and operation of the Geological Cloud (Geological Big Data) represent a profound reform of the business system. Given the substantial financial investment required and the large number of organizations involved, they stressed the need for the Bureau to demonstrate firm resolve, work together in unity, and fully accelerate the initiative, integrating it comprehensively into all project undertakings and ensuring its full-scale implementation.
Director Yan Guangsheng concluded by emphasizing five key points: First, the overall implementation plan and the overall technical plan for advancing geological big data development are basically finalized. It is imperative to further revise and refine them according to requirements and promptly organize a report to the bureau’s leadership. Once approved, project work must be systematically adjusted and coordinated in accordance with these two plans. Second, the overall implementation plan for advancing geological big data development serves as a comprehensive, guiding, and programmatic document for promoting geological big data development; its structure and content can be further adjusted and improved. Third, the construction of the Geological Cloud (geological big data) is an important component of the overall effort to advance geological big data development, and related statements between the two plans need to be further aligned. Fourth, we must further refine and enrich the core technical team responsible for drafting the overall technical plan for the Geological Cloud (geological big data). The role of geological big data in supporting geological survey services needs to be further deepened and strengthened. Fifth, all staff members of the Development Center of the Bureau of Geological Surveys must unite their hearts and pool their efforts, working together with one accord to overcome difficulties and ensure the comprehensive advancement of geological big data development.
2 Moon 25 In the afternoon, Chief Engineer Tan Yongjie chaired a seminar on revising and refining the plan, during which members of the planning team conducted further discussions and made detailed arrangements for the preparation and revision of the plan.
