After a comprehensive review of current exploration findings, Wang Liming suggests that the state could designate the Lianhuashan Fault Zone as another base for tin and polymetallic mineral exploration, following China’s Nanling and the central-southern section of the Daxinganling. By increasing investment in basic geological studies and allowing geological survey institutions to collaborate with commercial capital for exploration, we can tap into this region’s enormous potential for tin and polymetallic minerals, thereby alleviating China’s current shortage of tin resources.
